Overview
Twilio is a cloud-based service for sending SMS, MMS and chat messages from applications. CloudMonix integrates with Twilio by sending notifications as SMS. Just like with other types of notifications, users can control what notifications are sent to Twilio based on the resource, resource group, alert severity, etc.
Three general steps to integrate CloudMonix with Twilio
Get Account SID and Authorization Token from Twilio
Set up the Twilio integration definition in CloudMonix
Tell CloudMonix what notifications should be sent to Twilio
Detailed steps to integrate CloudMonix with Twilio
Navigate and log in to the Twilio website.
In the Account Settings screen (Account > Account Settings) copy account SID and Auth Token for LIVE Credentials.
In CloudMonix open the Twilio integration dialog (Account Settings > Integrations > Twilio ). Add new Customer Token (click + button). Enter the copied credentials.
Press the Test button in CloudMonix Twilio integration dialog, to verify that integration is setup correctly. After a moment you should receive a SMS to the number you provided.
In the Notifications screen (Account Settings > Notifications) create a new rule for sending notifications from CloudMonix to Twilio. Decide what information will be posted to Twilioby adjusting the Minimum Severity value and optionally disabling certain types of notifications. Learn more about Notification Management here.
