There are three basic Subscription Plans in CloudMonix: Ultimate, Professional and Free. Free plan is designed for startups who just need a quick view into their cloud infrastructure. Professional plan offers all of the features of CloudMonix with exception of automation. Ultimate plan, in addition to a full set of Professional plan features, allows users to automatically heal or scale their cloud services. The detailed comparison is in the next section.
CloudMonix is a pay-as-you-go cloud-based service (SAAS). Customers can cancel their subscriptions any time. Fees are based on the number of resources monitored. There are no other fees of any kind.
The usage cost in CloudMonix is calculated based on the number of resources monitored in every clock hour. Users can pause monitoring, add or remove resources any time. CloudMonix will always determine the actual usage in resource-hour units.
The Professional and Ultimate plans start with unlimited monitoring of 5 resources (see what is an individual monitored resource from the billing perspective). But there’s no upper limit in the number of monitored resources as CloudMonix automatically includes also monitoring of additional resources (determining the actual usage, in resource-hours). Additionally, organizations can benefit from volume pricing discounts, that are covered in the attached PDF file.
The plan is selected per CloudMonix Subscription, meaning that the same plan is associated with all Accounts in the Subscription (see the Account Management article to learn more about Accounts and Subscriptions).
The billing is done via credit-card, annual invoices or Azure Marketplace:
Credit Cards
Credit-card billing can be self-entered on the Subscription Management\Billing page. Billing occurs once a month on an anniversary date. Receipts are sent out after credit cards are charged successfully. Example of a receipt.
Invoices
Invoice-based billing needs to be setup through a support ticket. The usual process is as follows:
Customer determines what plan they would like to purchase (Ultimate or Professional)
Customer determines number of resources that need to be monitored
CloudMonix team provides a quote based on the plan and planned usage
Customer provides a PO number
CloudMonix activates the account and issues an annual invoice
Customer pays the annual invoice
Actual monthly usage is subtracted from the annual invoice balance on a monthly basis
If balance is depleted faster or slower than planned, the customer is billed when the balance reaches 0
Wire transfers and check payments are supported
Azure Marketplace
Customers who sign up via Azure Marketplace are billed by Microsoft. CloudMonix team is not involved in the process. Onboarding, changing of plans, and cancellations are performed in the Microsoft Azure portal.
In order to discuss the optimum pricing plan for your organization or if you have additional questions, open a support ticket with the CloudMonix team at http://support.cloudmonix.com.
